AM Prefab Careers

Commercial Buildings

AM Prefab tech-driven commercial buildings are fully customized to meet the specific needs of each individual project. Our commercial buildings are the economical and environmentally conscious building of choice: energy efficient, low maintenance cost, high recycled content and recyclability.

Higher Quality

AM Prefab commercial buildings are available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes and are designed to act as an integrated building system.  All our building components are engineered to work together: meet all load requirements, protect building contents from weather and limit hot-cold thermal transfer.

Easy to Erect

Every AM Prefab precision-fit building component is planned, punched, drilled and welded in a state of the art controlled environment. This makes our commercial buildings easy to erect, which saves our customers both time and money.

TECH-DRIVEN BUILDING SYSTEMS

Every AM Prefab frame is designed to meet our customers specific building requirements.  We have the engineering expertise to design interiors with wide-open spaces, unusual ceiling heights and extreme load requirements.  In addition, we offer the industry’s most comprehensive options of roofs, walls, and accessories.

Clearspan Frames

Clearspan frames are most often used in buildings where unobstructed interior space is required. Common uses include:  aircraft hangars, arenas, tennis centers, soccer centers, riding arenas, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, offices and retail stores.  No interior columns also provide the space required for material handling and crane systems.

  Single Slope

  Width: 15′ – 120′    Height: 8′ – 60′

  Double Slope

  Width: 30′ – 200′    Height: 8′ – 60′

Multi-span Frames

Multi-span frames are commonly used for building layouts that permit interior columns.  The spacing between columns can be consistent or varied to meet the necessary requirements. Large open floor spaces are accommodated by using the minimum number of columns.  This provides large open space and ease of movement for fork lifts, etc.  Common uses include:  manufacturing plants, warehouses, truck terminals and retail stores.

Feature:

Benefit:

i.  Designers have the capability of arranging sidewall columns that are straight or columns with the more economical tapered section

i.  Flexible design providing for maximum utilization of interior space

ii.  All main framing in accordance with the strict AISI quality certification guidelines

ii.  The quality fabrication process reduces assembly labor and subsequently lowers erection costs

iii.  Interior support columns available as either pipe sections or H sections

iii.  Wider buildings are more economically feasible

iv.  Building frames come with welded subassemblies; roof purlin clips and wall girt clips are factory welded to the main frames

iv.  Saves installation time and increases the overall stiffness of the building

v.  Purlins are supported laterally by the welded plates

v.  Reduces the amount of purlin roll experienced under heavy loading

vi.  All structural bolts are furnished with a corrosion protective plating

vi.  Improves the appearance of the building, helps to speed up the erection process, and eliminates rusted bolts

vii.  Frames are prefabricated as much as possible

vii.  Eliminates costly field work needed to “customize” the frames for specific building configurations

viii.  Endwall frames can be simple post and beam type construction, or can be built with a full interior type main frame to accommodate future expansion

viii.  Endwalls are furnished in a variety of configurations, again with the flexibility to meet any need

ix.  Symmetrical/Asymmetrical shapes

ix.  Economical savings on material costs
